Teacher and History Department Chair Christopher Monitto described the approach to “virtual debating” that occurred within his Government class. Using a message board format, students explored the topic of universal healthcare in a time of Coronavirus, in addition to other topics within the US government that students were passionate about researching.
Mr. Monitto also described a lesson about WWII which was occurring in his World History class. Students shared virtual newscasts on noteworthy turning points of the war in an amusing and entertaining format.
