Congratulations to Photography and Media Arts Teacher Patricia Colombraro on being accepted into The Heckscher Museum of Art’s Long Island Biennial. This juried exhibition features 100 works by 52 Long Island contemporary artists who were selected from a pool of over 300 artists by jurors: Art Writer Erin Kimmel, PhD candidate, Director of DC Moore Gallery Heidi Lange, and Artist/Curator Paton Miller.
The Long Island Biennial will be open to the public until January 10, 2021. They will also hold a series of related events including Virtual Open Studios, Virtual Panel Conversations, and more. The Long Island Biennial at The Heckscher Museum of Art features original works of art from 52 artists from Nassau and Suffolk County, in Long Island, New York.
Patricia Colombraro has been a member of The Knox School’s Visual and Performing Arts Department since 2003, teaching photography and media arts classes to students in the Upper School. In addition to working for over twenty years as a professional photojournalist and documentary photographer, Mrs. Colombraro is an adjunct professor at Suffolk County Community College and the Director of the Solarium Gallery at Houghton Hall on Knox’s Saint James campus.
Patricia holds a BA and an MFA degree from Long Island University.
