The Knox School is thrilled to announce that Literary Scholar Hannah Simkus has been accepted to participate in the National English Honor Society (NEHS) 2025 UK Literary Tour! This prestigious opportunity is offered to a select group of literary scholars chosen from a highly competitive pool of applicants nationwide. Hannah’s achievement is a testament to her dedication to English literature and her passion for exploring the power of storytelling.
The UK Literary Tour is a transformative journey that immerses students in the rich history and heritage of English literature. Over the summer, participants will visit iconic literary landmarks, including the Charles Dickens Museum and Keats House in London, Shakespeare’s Birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, and the historic Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey. The tour also includes visits to Buckingham Palace, the famed theatre district of London’s West End, Castle Howard (featured in Brideshead Revisited and Bridgerton), and Girton College at Cambridge University. This incredible experience is designed to deepen students’ appreciation of English literature while fostering connections with fellow scholars from across the nation.
