Brand Statement- With Statistics
Founded in 1904, The Knox School is the oldest established private school on Long Island, in New York. Small class sizes allow Knox students to receive the individual attention they deserve when investing in a private school education.
We offer a student-driven experience that goes beyond small classes to include tailored college counseling, diverse extracurricular activities, leadership opportunities, and the ability to “level up” with Advanced Placement and college equivalency classes. Students can fast-track their University studies by participating in up to 20 Advanced Placement (AP) courses spanning the arts, humanities, and sciences; or earn college credit through our univerisity partners by selecting from 20 college equivalency Dual Enrollment courses taught by Knox faculty right on our own campus. Those with focused interests can pursue concentration tracks—Business, Criminal Justice, Education, Health Science, Performance, STEM or Visual Arts—delving deeply into a field. Each track culminates in a Senior Year Capstone Project, giving students the opportunity to showcase their skills and strengthen college applications.
100% of our students get accepted to college, earning admission to Top 50 and Top 100 Universities across the U.S. – from large, public research universities to small, private boutique colleges, as well as elite art & design schools and engineering institutes. With an average graduating class of 35 students, Knox seniors earn an extraordinary $3.5-4.5 Million in merit scholarships annually.
Students have a diverse and exciting Residential Life experience, participate in a variety of competitive sports, and have access to New York City on the weekends. Knox is the perfect school for students to receive an American high school experience and move on to the most competitive colleges the United States has to offer.
