The Knox School Admissions Ambassador program is a student leadership program available within the Admissions Department. Admissions Ambassadors assist with introducing prospective families to our Home Beside the Shore by providing campus tours, participating in on-campus Open House activities, and attending off-campus recruitment events.
As student representatives of The Knox School, candidates for the ambassador program must embody our core values. These students should be in good academic standing, participate in various athletics and arts programs, and serve the community on and off campus.

“What I love most about Knox is the faculty. This allows the students to have a close relationship with the teachers and you feel like home. In the dorms, there are parents and they're all so nice and warm-hearted and treat you like their own child. Knox is my second family and I always feel safe.”

“What I love most about Knox is the small community. Even though our population here at Knox is not as large as other schools, every student knows each other and is close to one another. As an international student here, I have a feeling of being at home because everyone holds themselves to the highest standard. All of the students and faculty members are accommodating and understanding, which is much like my family back in China.”

Sports: Fencing, Tennis, Cross-Country
Thomas M. '20 - Day Student
“What I love most about Knox is the feeling of being together in one large family. Being a small school, we are closer with our classmates and peers, creating tighter, longer lasting friendships. I have made some of the closest friendships I’ve had in my entire life here, and some even continue with friends who are now Knox Alums in college.”
Sports: Cross-Country, Tennis
Ador A. '19 - International (South Sudan)
"What I love most about Knox is the faculty; they really care about your academics and they will help you to go to your dream college. Knox feels like home especially when you are international, and also has the best two basketball coaches that you can learn a lot from on and off the court."

Helen Y. '20 - International (China)
“What I love about Knox the most is our small community. At Knox, everyone knows each other so it gives us the feeling of a large family. Also, everyone here has a distinctive background; therefore, it is a great place to know people from around the world. We are able to express ourselves without limitations.”

Wilson D. '20 - Day Student
“What I love most about Knox is the opportunity it gives us to become future leaders of the world. More importantly, we care for each other as family. There is a sense of belonging in this community that is very special to this school. Not all private schools have the same sense of camaraderie and definitely not all public schools. All aspects of Knox- the teachers, friends, and coaches- push me to do my best academically and athletically. Relationships with each other is a very big deal at Knox and that is what makes this school so special.”
Sports: Crew, Swimming
Xavier A. '20 - Boarding Student
"What I love most about Knox is how family-oriented it is and how willing every staff member is to take you to the next level. Everyday I wake up in the dorms and it’s nothing but love and positivity coming from administrators and my fellow students. As a student-athlete, it can be a tough balance of academics and athletics; however, my teachers and coaches push me everyday and stop at nothing to make sure I am succeeding both on and off of the court. I’ve only been here a month or so and I truly have never felt so at home anywhere. I love this place and anyone that does not go here is truly missing out on a great opportunity."
Jaylon B. '20 - Boarding Student
“What I love most about Knox is that everyday I feel like this place is my home away from home because of the enthusiastic teachers along with the friendly students who can make me smile on my best and worst of days. This can go a long way in life because one day, when I am older I can look back to my high school days and cherish the best of times that I had at Knox.”
Alejandro L. '20 - International (Spain)
“What I love most about Knox is it gives all of us a chance to be successful, not only in academics but also in athletics. The Knox School gives you great opportunities to learn with only a few people in class so everyone can participate. It also gives you very good opportunities in athletics with great facilities, and strong coaches.”
Languages: Spanish, Valenciano, English
Vasia T. '22 - Day Student
“What I love the most about Knox is the diverse community. We are not only diverse in culture, but diverse in interests, hobbies, opinions and extracurriculars. We have everything from an equestrian team, to a crew team, to a theatre production, all in one place working simultaneously together, and not just accepting our differences but embracing them.”
Languages: Greek, English
Sports: Equestrian, Softball
Reese P. '21 - Day Student
“There are so many wonderful things about Knox, but the one thing I love most is the diversity. Everyone comes from different places and has a different background. Every day you get to learn something new about the world around you. At Knox everyone celebrates each others differences, and everyone is very accepting. It creates a homey environment with everyone considered to be your second family. "
Languages: English, Some Chinese
Sports: Crew, Soccer, Swimming
Tess P. '19 - Day Student
“What I love most about Knox is the small class sizes. This allows students to have more engaged lessons because participating in a class of 10 is more comfortable than participating in a class of 30. Teachers can really get to know each student as an individual, working with them to enhance their strengths and improve their weaknesses.”
Sports: Crew, Cross-Country
Trevor H. '21 - Day Student
“What I love most about Knox is the opportunities it gives me and the doors to my life it has opened and will continue to open. Everything I have an idea about, or dream about, I know I can get it started at Knox. If it's not an actual class, the faculty is always willing to help students' knowledge blossom and help them in any way.”
