Lucas Curran '18
Lucas Curran joined The Knox School this Fall as a postgraduate student with ambitions of improving his grades, gaining some life experience, and excelling on the basketball court. Originally from Croton on the Hudson, New York, Lucas was originally introduced to Knox last year when his basketball team from The Masters School played the Falcons National Prep team on the Knox campus. Seeing our beautiful campus and meeting Coach Townes inspired him to extend his high school career by one year to improve his chances for acceptance into more selective colleges.
Currently, Lucas enjoys studying history and environmental science. However, in college, he plans to pursue education in physical therapy or physiology. As a long term goal, he hopes become a professional basketball player. Additionally, he aspires to coach basketball on the high school level. Over the past few summers, Lucas has worked as an assistant coach for a varsity high school team and counseled sports for summer camps. These experiences triggered a passion for guiding others to achieve their athletic goals.
We are thrilled that Lucas chose to attend Knox fora postgraduate year. With his hard work in the classroom and dedication on the court, we are confident that this rising star has a very bright future!
