Best timing for applications for the 2010 school year

The Knox School has “Rolling Admission.” As such, we consider and make decisions on applications throughout the school year. However, most of our admission candidates for admission for the 2010-2011 school year will complete the application process by February 26 and will receive their admission decision by March 19. After that point, Knox will continue to accept applications for a limited number of spaces that may still be available.

Mid-year admissions

In certain cases, Knox will accept and enroll qualified students during the school year. These enrollments generally occur at the beginning of a given term on a space available basis.

Financial Aid Applications

While Knox is a rolling admission school, please note that applications for financial aid should be submitted to the Director of Financial Aid by March 1st for returning families and April 1st for new families. Notifications for financial aid awards will be made in March for families who have completed all regular admission and financial aid application procedures. After that point, financial aid awards will be made on a case by case basis and only if funds are still available.  Therefore, it is extremely important to complete the process as soon as possible. Open House and Tour Schedule

All Open Houses are held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration for all events will be open by 9:30 a.m. These are program events that include group tours, presentations from school administrators, Financial Aid Workshops, special programs for prospective students, and question and answer sessions for parents. The Open House Dates this year are: February 13, April 24.

“Take a Look Tours”

Several times during the year, Knox offers after school “Take a Look Tours.” These are far less formal than Open House events, but they do allow visiting families to see the campus during an afternoon and still speak with the Admission Staff and other school administrators, teachers, and students. Families may visit on these days between the hours of 4:00-5:30 p.m. “Take a Look Tour” dates for 2010 are: January 7, March 4, May 20.
