Financial Aid
The Knox School offers qualified students need based financial aid. Financial awards are based on a demonstrated financial need and are essentially a reduction in tuition. The admissions process and financial aid process should occur simultaneously, as Knox is not able to offer assistance until the student has been accepted to the school. The Knox School does not offer financial aid to international students at this time.
While the process of applying to any school for financial aid may seem daunting, we urge you to let us know as soon as possible if you do intend to apply. Please contact me, Jenna Skarda, Director of Financial Aid, directly at: 631-686-1600 ext 413 or by e-mail at jskarda@knoxschool.org to start the financial aid process. I will be happy to assist you through every element of this process, from making sure you receive the initial application, to talking you through the next steps.
Knox does offer some Merit Based Scholarships as well. Please contact me to see which, if any, Merit Scholarships are available for the 2010-2011 school year, and if your child qualifies.
All families, returning or new, applying for financial aid need to know that financial aid awards will not be announced until the spring. This gives families time to complete the entire process by a March 1st deadline for returning families and an April 1st deadline for newly enrolling families. We therefore urge all families intending to apply for financial aid to begin the process no later than January 25th.
Sincerely,
Jenna Skarda
Director of Financial Aid/Associate Director of Admission
