Chris Strompolos ’89, Entertainment Industry, Los Angeles, California

Chris Strompolos was born in Arlington Heights Illinois and grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi. On the Mississippi Gulf Coast from 1982 – 1989 while remaking “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in the summers, Chris developed a passion for acting, music and producing.

Chris attended The Knox School for five years, where he performed leading roles in almost every dramatic and musical theater production presented at the School. He was selected for NYSSMA All-State as a Baritone in his junior year and represented Knox as a member of the All-State Mixed Choir. He went on to complete his degree in Theater and Production at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio – Class of ‘93. After living in Vienna and traveling internationally, Chris moved to Los Angeles in 1994 to forge a path in the entertainment business.

Chris is currently producing a slate of films, adapting a book for the screen and recently completed a US tour with a new documentary called Raiders! The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made. Based in Los Angeles, California with his wife Monica, they have one daughter, Diana, and a cat named “James.”
